Terms and Conditions

It is now a point of law that all passengers must wear seat belts provided in coaches at all times throughout the duration of the journey. If any passenger fails to wear the seat belts provided, AMI Coaches will be unable to accept liability for any injuries however caused.

AMI Coaches fleet is maintained to a high standard in accordance with ministry of transport requirements, however, despite stringent checks, breakdowns may occur. AMI Coaches cannot be held responsible for failure to arrive or leave pick-ups/destinations at the desired time due to mechanical defects, inclement weather conditions, traffic congestion or any other matter which is beyond the Company’s control. Every effort will be made to provide a substitute vehicle of a similar standard/specification to match the original travel requirements. AMI Coaches reserves the right to sub-contract work to meet its customers’ requirements.

AMI Coaches reserves the right to refuse carriage of an individual or group; a driver or employee of AMI Coaches can refuse to carry any passenger whose behaviour is considered to be unruly or causing a nuisance to other passengers or found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The driver is the final arbiter in all matters concerning the safe carriage of passengers.

It is Company policy for teachers and/or supervisors to place themselves opposite emergency exits during trips, particularly when pupils are 16 years or under and to ensure that distractions for the driver are kept to a minimum throughout the journey.

Coaches are licensed to carry a maximum stated amount of passengers for which the vehicle is designed (seating capacity of coaches currently 49 and mini coach 16).

AMI Coaches does not accept responsibility for the loss, damage or custody of personal belongings, purchases, luggage or any other items left on board or in the luggage hold of any of its coaches at any time.

Preferred routes/comfort stops/coffee breaks etc are to be discussed at the time of booking otherwise left to the discretion of the driver on the particular day of hire.

It is illegal to smoke on any vehicle. It is Company policy that no food or drink is to be consumed on any of our coaches. AMI Coaches takes pride in the cleanliness of its fleet and fully expects ALL passengers to respect this. In the event the coach is in need of extensive cleaning, a further charge will be made accordingly. The cost of any remedial work to be met by the hirer.

Prices are quoted on the information given by the hirer at the time of booking, as mileage, timings, drivers’ wages, fuel cost and ministry of transport regulations relating to drivers hours rules affect the cost of hire. Any information such as additional collection & drop off points should not be withheld, as this would reflect inaccurate pricing. In the event of this happening, the hirer will be invoiced for any extra costs incurred. Parking charges are not included in the quote and are the responsibility of the hirer. AMI Coaches reserves the right to charge a reasonable fuel supplement due to future diesel price increases.

Unless stated at the time of booking, coaches are not available for the hirers use other than for the outward & return journeys. AMI Coaches cannot guarantee that coaches will remain with the hirer.

An additional charge of £50 will be made for hirers who wish to book our coaches with toilet use. This is to cover costs incurred to properly discharge and clean the toilet facilities.

Cheques are to be made payable to "AMI Coaches", all payments shall be made in full 7 days before date of hire unless other terms have been agreed by the company. If a booking is terminated a cancellation fee may be incurred at the discretion of the Company.

A confirmed booking with AMI Coaches is deemed an acceptance of the information and related fees displayed above. If our customers have any questions we are always happy to provide information by email.
